HOUSTON, TX – Blue Faery: The Adrienne Wilson Liver Cancer Association will host a free, in-person HCC Lunch & Learn on April 25, 2026, at Houston Methodist Hospital. This essential community event aims to equip Houston residents with critical knowledge about liver health, liver disease, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a growing concern in Texas which has one of the nation's highest rates of liver cancer.
Developed in collaboration with expert physicians, the program offers clear, actionable information on liver cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for patients, caregivers, and at-risk individuals. A transplant dietitian will also highlight the crucial role of nutrition in supporting liver function, reducing risk factors, and aiding recovery. Topics covered include HCC risk factors, current treatment options, multidisciplinary care, and patient resources, all designed to empower attendees with the understanding needed to improve outcomes.
“This event is about empowering people with knowledge—because understanding your risk and your options can truly change outcomes,” stated Andrea Wilson Woods, Founder and President of Blue Faery. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m.) at Houston Methodist Hospital, 6565 Fannin Street. It includes a nutritious catered lunch and complimentary parking for the first 50 attendees. Space is limited, so advance registration is highly encouraged at bluefaery.org/hcc-lunch-learn.
